When I got home from work, five fire trucks and two police cars were there. I had been burning a candle, but blew it out before I left – in fact I watched the wisp of white smoke fly up from the wick. I replaced a silk flower arrangement that went around the candle and then left the house. It re-ignited, and the arrangement went up in flames. I’m glad I decided on the system that includes the smoke alarm. The fire could have gone totally out of control. I’m most appreciative of Guardian’s good work.”
